RE-SIZING a large Titanium Windscreen
=========================I took a LARGE sized titanium windscreen, and, using a scissor, cut it into 3 smaller (and quite usable) windscreens. It was easy!
FireLite Titanium Foil Windscreen – LARGE ( 0.9 oz )
here's the BPL LINK:
http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/titanium_foil_windscreen_large.htmlThe wind screen is 9" high x 32" long and has a series of holes along one side.
1. Cut it into two sections, 5" x 32" and 4" x 32"
(the 5" tall section needs the vent holes)
2. Cut the 4" x 32" inch section in half into two equal 4" x 16" pieces
3. Trim the 5" x 32" section down a little (it's too long) by about 4" to 5" x 28"
All done, that's it!
The smaller sizes are perfect for solo mug cooking on an alcohol stove or esbit cubes.
The bigger size will work with an alcohol stove and a 1.5 liter pot.
