How small can I compress the UL180 in my pack? Is there any damage by really compressing it for packing?

Compression of the insulation used in the Cocoon products will have a negative effect on their performance over time. It is recommended that you only lightly stuff the items whenever possible and that when the items are in long-term storage, precaution is taken to allow the loft to "fluff" as much as possible.

Thanks Sam
I will not pack this item tightly. Thanks.
When I store them they are hung in my closet.

Sam, like you I just received the UL 60 quilt, and I must say the enclosed stuff sack is huge. I think I will compress it just enough so that it fits long ways across the bottom of my golite ion, when rolled up inside the stuff sack. Sam, how do you store yours?

Yes, the storage sack included with the quilts are significantly large enough for temporary storage as to not overly compress the quilts. When I pack for a trip I compress the quilt into a slightly smaller Granite Gear Cordura silnylon stuff sack and it rests at the bottom of my pack. Upon arrival in camp it I remove it immediately to minimize it's time spent compressed.

At home I store the quilt on a hangar in my closet by closing the neck snap and putting a hangar through that. Ideally the quilt would be stored horizontally, uncompressed.
