Golite Jam 2 and Bear Vault 500

The vault takes up 700 cu. , but I bet you could do it. I have filled the Jam 1 with five days worth of food. To save space I use my pad as a back support, and the platypus lays across the top of the pack. The outside pocket fits small items you might want to be able to find easily, eg. Aqua Mira, headlamp, first aid. Unfortunately with the vault your pack won't get smaller as you eat, but you might have extra room for gear storage inside the vault as you use up food.

I'm pretty sure it would work. I wouldn't count on getting it to lay horizontally. You could probably sit it upright, pack some soft gear around the sides and fit the rest on top, probably with room to spare.
