I was looking at Marmot's 2008 Hydrogen and noted use of Lightforce N-120 R for outer shell and Lightforce P-100 Taffeta lining.
I talked to Marmot HQ and all I could get is that fabric IS NOT proprietary, its a 20Dx20D fabric and they hinted it was mfg. in Taiwan.
Anyone know what this stuff really is and how it performs?

The first is a nylon 1.2 oz. per square yard woven ripstop.
The second is a 1.0 oz. per square yard woven polyester tafetta.
N is for nylon
P is for polyester
R is for ripstop

Thanks, Josh, for a good start. I'm an old, dyed-in-the-wool, sleep-in-the-weeds (not literally) kind of guy. The market seems to change so quickly that when it is time to buy I'm playing catch-up.
Marmot appears to change fabrics often. I recognize Pertex, Epic, Nano-something-or-other and the like that seem to set the standards but new fabrics and the "same fabric-new name" game make me a little crazy.
I'm just trying to figure out what I'm buying and how well it works. Marmot ain't talkin'.

Call their warranty department. About 10x more knowledgeable than their customer service.
