Yes, that is the description at TT. I had read that and instantly forgot the star gazing bit because I was visualizing the air flow….( this flap wasn't in the prototype that Henry was playing with)
Reading Scott's comment the MH type plastic window popped into my head and got totally confused.

It's my dream tent !

I don't need it in a hurry but I get the impression that TT tents are best ordered in advance. Any ideas how far in advance?

You're in luck .. It comes in any color you want ! As long as it is white :)

And, as far as " ordering in advance", I'm Henry sure that can provide a more specific answer, however, more than anything else, it seems to be a " timing issue". e.g. a couple of weeks ago he had plenty of rainbows .. now he's out for a month .. Right now , he's got the subites in stock .. and , my guess ( as this is the intial run) he's going to see how these move before he decides how to stock on a regular basis.

Actually, the tyvek version can be any color you like. The fabric will absorb ink so you can go crazy with tie-dye colors!

What length of trekking poles are required?

I have your Contrail but my Sierra Club backpacking friend is more interested in your Sublite. She wanted to know if a good DWR like Revivex or Techron would improve the water repellancy & thus the breathability. She's afraid "wetting out" would defeat the tent's breathability in a prolonged rain.
