I made a fast trip onto the southern Oregon PCT this past weekend and thought others may be interested in the trail conditions encountered.

The first snow encountered was at 5,000' in elevation.

Snow continued to get deeper with fewer bare areas of trail as elevation was gained.

Looking south at MT. Shasta, notice all of the smoke from fires burning in CA.

Looking north toward MT. Thelison in the distance just past Crater Lake.

PCT trail marker at Devils Peak.

Side hill snow encountered heading toward Devils Peak.

Snow at Devils Peak, this should be fun.

Devils Peak, picture below, the peak above would highest elevation of trip.

Mt. McGloughlin, picture below, to the south of Devils Peak.

My trusted trail dog, picture below, as always ready for more.

Looking back at PCT from direction we traveled, trail is on side hill covered in snow just above tree line.

All things considered a great outing.
