How much does this mug weigh without the lid? I've read that total weight is 4.8oz and that's with the standard lid, which is of a metal heavier than titanium. I'm not much of a regular factory lid user, foil works much better and is insanely lighter. So what's the weight after ditchin the lid?
The weight of mine works out as:
Mug: 2.75oz (without the handles, which weigh .25oz each)
Lid: 1.20oz
For a total of 4.45oz.
The lid is stainless steel. I replaced mine with a pie pan and saved about an ounce. Which granted, isn't much, so I prefer to rationalize it as, "I reduced the weight of my cooking vessel by 25%" ;)
