I would appreciate your opinions on which insoles work well for you? I have a somewhat narrow foot and have a pair of Vasque and Montrail shoes. Both pairs have the original insoles in them, but I would like to replace them with something more fitting for 15-20 miles days. Thank you.

Don't buy anything until you try it on. I would suggest going to your local running store, that knows a lot about fitting shoes and insoles, and try out a lot of different insoles. Everyone's feet are shaped different so insoles that work for one person might not work for the next. Usually at running stores they have a huge variety of insoles and they will let you try them out. You also probably will want to find out your level of pronation (which running stores can help you with) and find the best insole for your pronation.

Insoles will usually last two pairs of shoes, but not more than one year.

I use the SOLE Dean Karnazes model. I've used SuperFeet in the past but I like that the SOLEs are heat moldable offering a semi-custom fit.

I did a 22 mile hike/run yesterday on fairly rocky trails with the Superfeet Green insoles. Much, much better than the insoles my Vasque Velocity GTX came with. No pain or wear on the bottoms of my feet. Thanks for the recommendation.
