Looks like you either counting on no rain, rain that is minor enough that the wildshirt is enough, or you are using a poncho/tarp. Which is it. Where on the PCT will you be?

Is there a reason you are wearing the eco mesh and bring a SS and LS shirt? I would think you could easily lose the SS.

On the pants front… aren't the Synergy going to be too warm? Pants + 2 pairs of shorts + long johns seems like a lot. If it was me I would do one pair of zip-offs + featherweight tights to sleep in which would weight around 60% of your combo. If you are set of the synergy, I would think about losing the ex officio shorts if you are taking the stride shorts.

Yeah Jay, was wondering about rain protection. I think if I remember correctly that you use a tarp and not a poncho tarp. Keep in mind that where you are hiking is along the Sierra Crest which is quite vulnerable to afternoon thunder showers that can produce, heavy rain, and hail. I have been throughout the region that you guys are going through and I have been in some pretty "fun" storms over the year

Yea Ken, I will bring a Golite poncho/tarp for rain protection and use it mostly as a ground cloth. I use a short sleave t-shirt under my Whisp in the morning [bug time] and change into my RR echo mesh mid day. The Golite shorts are running tights. At 3.5 oz the Golite WHISP provides great bug protection and a little rain coverage. I did the JMT 2 years ago and brought a 5 oz. umbrella and used it only twice. The poncho/tarp is just more multi-functional. I am still debating how many pares of sox for ten days? I am hopeing for a nice little afternoon Thunderstorm- it ads more adventure.

I am still debating how many pairs of sox for ten days?

Jay, I was content (pleased!) bringing pair of liners and two pair of thicker sox for 11 trail days at Philmont last year. Two pair of underwear also.

A kite string clothes line and a couple tablespoons of powdered laundry detergent enabled me to do laundry on days 3, 6 and 9.

Next time I'll bring a mini-dropper of camp suds instead of powdered detergent.

When I did the PCT last year I only ever had two pairs of hiking socks and two pairs of underwear at any one time. Except in WA when it was raining/snowing I did laundry every day (usually during my lunch break) and dried out the wet socks and underwear on the back of my pack during the afternoon. That meant I had clean socks and underwear every day.

I used a few drops of Dr Bronners in a 1 gallon zip lock for laundry purposes – works very well (obviously disposing of the water well away from streams).

Come on Eric!! , You have to think out of the BPL mind set some times. Poncho/tarp uses:
Ground cloth
shelter
pack cover
body cover
vestitube
No need for rain pants= savings of 8 oz.
Lighter Wisp jacket 3.5 oz
I have GG Spinntwinn 9.7
MLD Serenity shelter 10.2 oz
To each is there own cumfort level!!
