For the last year plus I've been using Black Diamond Flick Lock poles which work well enough but weight around 20 ounces for the pair. Lately I've been looking at replacing them with a carbon pole and even going fixed length since I only collapse mine for travel. I'm trying to decide between the GG Lightrek 3 and the 2008 BPL Stix so comments on either are greatly appreciated. Cost-wise, I could almost get 2 pairs of Stix for the same as 1 pair of Lightrek 3s.

Chris, I've used the GG Lightrek 2 poles for 2 years. They are fantastic. The Lightrek 3 are a bit stouter and should be great too. I don't see the 2:1 price difference that you describe. The LT3 are listed at $130. The member price for the 2008 Stix shows $98.99.

The Pro pricing I get right now is really good on the Stix. I don't want to give out the actual amount since I'm not sure how the staff would feel about that.
