    From the Oware Website:

    >Create your own Variable thickness sleeping pad.

    >A ground sheet may superfluous where you camp with a full length pad.

    >Since it is often desirable for greater padding under the hips and shoulders I have tried gluing layers of the 1/4" pad together. I found that this can be accomplished with contact cement. It makes a very strong bond and you only need a few dots of it to hold things together.

    >By overlapping pieces, I can now make myself a custom pad to my height and
    width with padding at just the spots I need. This way I eliminate a ground
    sheet, and have a warm full length pad with a surface that doesn't promote
    condensation that weighs sub 5 ounces.

    Could you post a few pictures? Anyone else, please share your experience.

    On a related note, I've been thinking about building up a foam pad so that it has a depression, rather than extra foam, for my hips.

    My thought process is that it is much more comfortable to spread your weight over your entire body rather than making your hips and shoulder extra cushioned. Experience lying in the sand, with a depression for your bottom, confirms this.

    It seems that the idea of putting more foam under your hips and shoulders
