What Bear cans work with te ULA Conduit

I would use the Bearvault (the smaller one). Re-supply at Reds Meadow, Vermillion or Muir Trail Ranch and you should be able to be fine the trip.

Anyone know if the Bearikade Weekender fits?

With our Conduits we've used both the Bear Vault 450 and the Ursack S29 with the insert. The Ursack had to sit upright but since the approval has been revoked by the SIBBG, that's a moot suggestion.

The Bear Vault 450 fit in horizontally with room to spare on the sides. I don't think the larger BV 500 would fit horizontally but if you pack it in vertically, you should still be able to carry a lot of gear. What is the rest of your rack like? I am able to get pretty much everything I need for any length 3 season hike in with the upright Ursack. I started with the bear bag resting on my unstuffed sleeping bag to maximize space but was concerned about food smells on my sleeping bag (!) so I packed soft items like clothing in stuff sacks on the sides and the rest of my gear on top.

In short, I think you can pull off the bigger Bear Vault if you need that kind of space. No experience with the Bearikade's so I can't advise there…

Edit- checking the diameters of the Bearikade Weekender against the Bear Vaults- BKW is 9" diameter, BV's are 8.7" diameter. Pretty close; I think the BKW would work sitting vertically and most likely horizontally (height 10 inches vs. 8.3 inches for the BV450).

Thanks for the insight. I ended up going to REI and trying out the BV450, BV500, Garcia, and one other I don't remember the name of. They all will fit vertically with my current gear, only the BV450 with fit horizontally on the top. After seeing the BV450 in my Conduit i'm pretty sure that the Bearikade Weekender will also fit horizontally on the top. I'll find out for sure in a couple days when mine arrives.
