Hey Paul, I do not have the bug bivy but I do own the Serenity Shelter- very, very light weight and plus I like the idea of zipping the bugs out. It works perfect under a tarp or stand-alone. I have tried alot of bug shelters and I think finally!! I have found the perfect bug solution.

Hi Paul. I use the MLD bug-bivvy under a tarp and in a Hex 3. Not much to describe really. It does what it's meant to. Easy to climb in and hook it up above you. You can just use it as a groundsheet if no bugs are around. It also cuts down on drafts under a tarp if it's windy.
