I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have contributed to many threads in these forums. I have learned so much!
I just spent a VERY comfortable lightweight night (my husband says 'that's all you're taking??') in low 40s temps with wind chill in my new lunar duo, with homemade sleeping bag and new gear, because of what I have learned here on Backpacking Light. And my husband was impressed and intrigued to the point he's interested in dehydrating food and "camping" more often.
Other campers' first question in the morning was "weren't you cold?" but I slept soundly and comfortably on my test run with new gear. Just wanted to give a nod back to all of you from whom I have learned. I'll keep reading! Thanks a million.
