I know that this is an ultralight forum but I was curious to know if anyone has every used any of the Arcteryx Needle series of backpacks, specifically the 35? Not the lightest by any stretch, but absolutely bullit-proof in construction and would likely be great for trekking in areas that might not be so kind on packs. Any thoughts? (Just as a ‘heads up,’ I have a Vapor Trail that I currently use so all is not lost…)

I have never used a needle but have hiked with people that used the bora.
if the needle is made similarly You are getting a super durable pack
My recomondations for bush wacking is to use any pack You want but add a “super durable” pack cover and plan to keep it on your pack at all times.this method has worked for me on several occasions using a gossamer gear pack and has kept the pack from getting torn or harmed in any way from the environment. I have found that the cover comes in handy at camp for using as a small ground cloth for gear under my tarp
