I'm looking for a sleeping bag liner that is as light as possible for warm-weather use in place of a sleeping bag, but inside a bivy. Can anyone recommend a good silk (or other material) liner under, say, 5 oz? Thanks!

I have a cocoon silk mummy liner that is 4.7 ounces. Very comfortable and provides some warmth.

Aha, just found that at REI. That does look like a good option.

i also have a silk liner, but also have a non-woven type that i purchased through campmor. they have a nice selection at good prices. the non-woven one is about 3.5oz. the silk is a tad warmer, so i use that at the begining of the hiking season, and use the non-woven one in aug. at isle royal..hope this helps vicky

Seriously, don’t spend $55 or $65 on a silk bag at REI. Order from New Zealand — click here and pay $35 — air shipping included! I’ve purchased from them before, and received my liner the same week I ordered it. Good stuff — 100% silk.

Edit: Just read Dustin’s post above — Jag bag looks good too. Don’t know why silk bags are so expensive here in the US…

I also agree with Jag bag. I have one and they are light(5 oz) and hold up well. They also have more size options.

Thanks for the tip, Benjamin. I've ordered one for $35 at this site. Seemed like the best value.
