I am taking about 4 days and walking about 130 miles in August. Most walking will be in grass along the shoulders of roads and highways. What do you guys recomend for foot wear. I am about 6'3 and 195lbs
Thanks

Inov-8 Terroc 330's. Should be excellent in those conditions and also for any road walking, too. Hardpacked trails are their forte.
Shoes are very personal matter, and “the best shoes” depends a lot of what shape your feet are in. The only givens are that you will want something that fits well and is light weight. I have written up a bunch of observations and recommendations about footwear that would be too long to paste into this thread.
All that said, would second the recommendation of inov-8 shoes. My favorite is the flyroc 310. You might look at inov-8’s activity recommendation to consider which of their shoes would be worth a look.
Thanks John,
I have been doing my homework and I think I will probably be going the way of the Inov8. I will be doing alot of walking along the grass bedside of the roads i'll flip coin between the 310 and the 330.
I might look at the new "Roclite" (I think that is what it is called)
Jason… I should mention that the 330's have a wider toe box than the Roclite's or even the 310's if that's important to you. I have the Roclites, too, and on long hikes find that the extra width around the toes on the Terroc's matters to me. I often wear the Roclite's on hikes of under 100 miles. As was mentioned check out Inov-8's quite comprehensive website for traction and other information. http://www.inov-8.com/Traction.asp?L=27
