First it was the SteriPen Adventurer, a whiz-bang piece of gear if ever there was one. But I felt it was far lighter than a pump filter and faster than waiting for chlorine dioxide tabs so, yes, I got it.
Then it was the need for accuracy in routefinding with the Garmin Colorado 300 & topo software so, yes, I got it too.
Hmmmm, it is beginning to feel like I'm getting too techie but then, I USE this stuff and it is very helpful.
Do others ever get the "tech overload" sensation? Or is this backpacking fossil too used to old ways? (Now where did I put my Unobtanium walking sticks?)
