Oman

A mate of mine is moving to Oman for about 2 years starting at the end of the year. He is keen to have mates come visit him, and for us to do some trekking.

Anyone done any trekking in Oman and know any good routes? I've only had a brief look on the wiki page, but it sounds like there are some good mountain ranges to explore. Apparently it can be hard to find accurate info on Oman on the web, as the government controls what people say about Oman or something. But on the outset, from people my mate knows who have worked there in his company, it sounds like an awesome place!

We are both Rovers (Scouts) so we might meet up with some local Rovers too.

Fuel is cheap, and he will have his own car, so we can drive to where we need to go…in southern Arabia!
