Yeah, this is a serious gear-related thread…for those of you that have dogs you may have come across those little rolls of bags to collect up the doo. Often found packaged in some cute little bone shaped container you can hook to your leash. Well I got to thinking what a nice size they are for packaging single use stuff such as individual meals, etc…so I weighed them and, on average, they weigh around one measly gram. That's 28 bags per ounce. Very light and very handy.

I would be careful about storing food in them longterm Allison. Are they food grade plastic? Maybe i'm paranoid, but the plastic used might not be the best.

what IS food grade material is breast milk bags. they hold about 1L and have double ziplok tops. I use em all the time and they can be found at most supermarkets.

I wasn't thinking long term storage, or cooking in them. Just single meal servings tied with a knot. Anyway, I'm personally not worried about BPA etc…

They're also a handy size to re-use as VBL socks and gloves, or to carry rubbish in. The weight (or lack there-of) is very appealing.
