I'm looking for information on backpacking in Kunksleden, the Abisko to Kebnekaise section. In particular the weather condition in mid July and what type of equipmemt is needed for this type of area. Also if you have links or books to recommend
Thank you, Yoran

I have only walked this way once. I attended a yearly event held by a Swedish outdoor company called Fjallraven. The nature is amazing here.

The weather can change very fast and it can get windy, but it can also be very nice weather so you can walk in just short pants and a t-shirt.

Here is a link to the yearly event I atended, they have lots of information about this part of the trail if you click around. Just click on the english flag to get the information in english:

Picture is more than 1000 words. It's mid-July, same trip on both pictures. (I'm not in pictures but behind the camera.)

The sunnier one is on Abisko-Kebnekaise trail through Singistugor, the other one is on the trail through Tarfala.

Be sure to top Kebnekaise, it's worth it, a daytrip form the Fjellstation.
