When I was at Academy Sports at lunch, I saw a Brunton (made in Korea) stove with fuel canister in a bubble pack for $29.99. The stove looked very MR-ish, but was a bit heavy as it is all steel, according to the packaging. That is one heck of a money saving, but an apparent weight addition of some note. Anybody have experience with that stove? Package says 10,000 BTU and 3.5 boil time on a cup of water.
Last I checked these guys still had their MSR Titan kettle and PocketRocket deal on, although it's now $60 not $50. (this should get free shipping however)
You'll sell the kettle in a heartbeat here for $30 if you don't want/need it. (In fact if you PM Jonathon Boozer he may be interested in splitting with you. I know he liked the look of the one he shipped over to me)
If Jonathon doesn't want it, PM me. I could work out something for a friend of mine who almost wet her pants when she saw mine. :>)
