Simplicity is elegant!
So in my continuing quest of ultra – simplicity, I've been trying to narrow down my selection gear to cover the majority of my activities (climbing, backpacking, etc).
My goal is to re-initiate the one bag, one backpack, one shelter, one jacket + windshell or rain jacket, one pad do it all 3 season kit.
So for all those out there also in search of ultra simplicity, if you could choose only one backpack, sleeping bag, shelter, jacket, etc to cover all your needs of say 3-seasons in a moderate climate like the California Sierras. what would it be?
Let's get this started:
Pack: Golite Jam or Arc Teryx Bora 50 (still torn btw the two, both have been fantastic!)
Sleeping bag: Would love the WM Apache MF or DL
Pad: foam pad
Shelter: Kelty Noah tarp 10×10 (but thinking of Ray Jardine style tarp with beaks
Jacket: Montbell Thermawrap parka
Windshell: Marmot Driclime jacket
Rain jacket: so far, old Golite Reed jacket, still going strong!
