I'm looking for a 2 person ultralightweight bivy sack. I've only found one – made by owareusa.com and would be great except the $300 price tag means there are alot better/cheaper options for that kind of money. Has anyone heard on one? Looks like by best bet is to make one…

Depends on priorities. Weight an issue? BPL markets the Bozeman Mountain Works VAPR double bivy, which is about as light as it comes, but it is also $300. Best bet is probably to make one.

Funny I think that Bozeman double bivy is actually made by oware. Price and weight are definitely issues. I'm looking into each of us using Poncho/Tarps – being able to connect them together – and then sleep in a bivy under the two-person quilt i've already got to protect from rare showers. I'm thinking something like silnylon with netting over face and strips of netting over top to help vent.
