I buy merino wool socks at Costco that I swear are identical to smartwool socks. They are equally as durable and comfortable. They cost $10 for 4 pairs of socks. They are their store brand (kirkland is it?)

Brian I discovered those last year too, got some for all of us. They were comfortable and well made. Who knows maybe Smartwool makes them for Kirkland :)
