MLD poncho tarp w/ serenity shelter?

After reading your post I took a look at mld website and I noticed that Ron says that the senrity shelter works with tarps that are 7' feet wide in the front(I think Ron has changed the webpage recently). So I don't think your poncho tarp would work with it.
It could work OK, but the Pro poncho is not wide enough (even though it it the widest one on the market at the front) to cover all the way to the ground. You would need to pitch the poncho sort of flat to get enough overhead coverage but that would be at the expense of some amount of side wind protection. It would be a trade off that would be OK in most cases…
