Anyone know why the "new" Hardrock Wide is so hard to find? At Montrail's website they tout the "new" and improved 2008 model, yet they seem to be non-existent.
For example, REI doesn't carry them, and in fact REI appears to be dropping the Montrail line (or is carry only a very limited few models).
Montrail seems to have suffered substantially from becoming part of the Columbia Sportswear group.
Any insights on what's going on with Montrail?
You can find them at http://www.runningwarehouse.com, they have a fairly good selection of sizes and a price of $80.00. A great shoe and good price.

What has happened to the Montrail brand?
I recently bought a pair of 08 Hardrocks at Fleetfeet in Tucson. They didn't have them in stock but they ordered them and I had them inside a week. FWIW, the 08's and 06's fit pretty much the same at least in my size (12). Haven't used the new ones yet but they will be baptized on a 5-day Grand Canyon trip next week.
