I am thinking of making 5oz XP Jacket/pant instead of another quilt.
This would be my sleeping setup:

-DAM
-wool l/s zip
-wool long johns
-VBL jacket
-VBL pants
-5oz XP pant/ jacket
-2.5oz XP quilt

I would like some comments on how low can I sleep with this setup.

I would like to use these 5oz jacket/pants in winter when I need insulation even while active. I would be wearing:

-wool l/s zip
-wool long johns
-5oz XP pant/ jacket
-WPB jacket
-ventilated VBL pants

so I am also interested in knowing how low I can be comfortable while active.

I think you would have a hard time wearing 5oz jacket and pants while being active at temp above -15F. The climashield is pretty warm stuff as you probably know because you have a 2.5oz quilt. I have a 2.5 oz hoody that keeps me warm down to 40F while sitting around camp with no insulation on my legs. I don't think I would wear my hoody while hiking until it was below 0F.
