Hey guys,
This summer I'm going to be doing a 3 month / 1500 mile backpacking trip in Europe. Usually I carry fixed length carbon poles (stix, Komperdell featherlights, GG lightreks, etc.) but I'm worried about durability; if they were to break (it's happened before..), I have no idea about how or if I could get a new pair in Spain.
So, any recommendations on a pair of light but really, really durable poles? I used the Leki carbon's on the AT last summer, and they took 1700 miles of pounding with no problem, but I'm not sure that I want to shell out $200 bucks for some poles.
Thanks for any advice!
