I’m interested in the the fanatic fringe thompson and the GG Virga. Does anyone know if they have a hydration sleeve if any?

What other frameless packs have 2L bladder bag’s?

I’m not aware of any superlight frameless packs having hydraion sleeves. The ULA P-1,which is classified as a frameless but has a 1/4 length frame sheet has such a sleeve (24 oz. pack). Great pack.

It wouldn’t be hard to sew in a hydration sleeve in something like the Fanatic Fringe packs but it would be at the expense of an already small pack’s
internal volume.
Perhaps better to use external water bottles in an outside pocket ( such as the Gossamer Gear G6 has)
or in web straps (as on MLD’s Prophet series packs).

The Gossamer Gear Mariposa has a sleeve and holes for the tube. If you take the stays out it is frameless. (I figured it was pretty light so worth mentioning)

Of packs I’m familar with:

The Fanatic Fringe Thompson pack has no sleeve or tube slot.

The Six Moon Designs Starlite (older model) has a tube slot but no sleeve.

The GoLite Jam has both.

Personally, I don’t find the sleeves all that useful, the bladder usually stays upright unless the pack is seriously under filled. With the FF Thompson pack I generally use 1L Platypus bottles in the side pockets instead of a bladder.

gossamer gear mariposa (as was already stated) internal hydration sleeve
~16oz in wt (frameless or two carbon fiber removable stays)

golite jam (internal 3L hydration compatible) ~21oz in wt (frameless)

golite trek (larger pack – frameless) internal 3L hydration sleeve – ~32oz with silnylon top pocket; ~28oz if top pocket removed.

also golite race, team, and speed adventure racing packs (30, 32, & 34 oz respectively). packs have 3L, 2L and 3L (two sleeves), and 3L internal hydration sleeves respectively. you should double check these last three as i don’t own them and i don’t want to misinform you.

my experience with the golite jam has been that the hydration sleeve isn’t worth it. if the water bladder goes in the sleeve it is necessary outside the rolled-pad cylinder i use, and creates a ridge that runs along my spine. maybe others have found ways to work around this, but i decided i was happy to just put the bladder in the main compartment.

the hole for the tube is nice though.
