Just tried out my homemade Penny stove last night and I think I'm going to enjoy playing with and using this stove. I didn't time the boil for 2 cups of water but probably about 7/8 minutes but the best part was the fire buliding. It is like having your own mini camp fire.I'll be doing some more slight mods but basically pretty good to go on the first prototype. The best part is the cost, about $6 counting the Ti stakes.

Sure I'll try and take some this weekend. Anybody else have any experience with this stove?

Yup, played with it. It works pretty nicely. Pretty simple to build as well.

    Very nice looking! Good job!

What are your side "tabs" made from?

    Thanks, Todd

The tabs are cut out from the top. In other words you cut out all the top except the tabs. Here is another picpenny stove
