I used this year’s REI 20% off coupon to pick up a Marmot Ion windshirt, but because my local REI did not have the item in stock I had to order it sight unseen from the website.
Now I know several posters have briefly mentioned the “athletic cut” of the Ion, but I gotta say this sucker is cut short! I’m 6’2” and went for a size large, which fits fine in the arms and shoulders, but it barely reaches down to my belt. I’ll probably return it to REI, but before I do I’d like to know how the other popular windshirt brands are cut (such as the Golite Ether/Wisp and other reasonably priced models).
Can anyone shed some light on how well these other styles cover the wearer?
