I am interested in this windshirt as it is one of the few ones for that is long enough. How is the breathability and rain resistancy? I currently use a Marmot Ion. Thanks.

I have the Nine Trails Vest – I think the front material is identical to the Houdini (which I have too), which gets good reports for breathability+water resistance.
Keep in mind that the Nine Trails doesn't provide wind protection on the back of the jacket. It is a different and very breathable fabric. This actually might be great for backpacking to maintain good ventilation between your back and the pack.
