Apparently it's just a "design concept", but this got me thinking:

With different sizes of straws, you could prepare "one-shots" of anything: Gatorade, Coffee+whitener, loose tea, instant breakfast powder, or whatever else you mix in with your pint of hot/cold water on the trail.
Not necessarily lighter, but possibly not more than a few grams heavier and there's a convenience factor in this idea.
Mar 21, 2008 at 6:45 pm #1425155Take a drinking straw and cut off two one inch lengths from the straw. Then fold one end of the straw over and place the first one inch section over it to keep the fold inplace. Fill the straw with your powder then fold over the other end and seal with the other one inch section.
How much powder you can fit in depends on the diameter of the straw and length.
