I've been reading a lot about chlorine dioxide as a water purifier and was wondering if Sodium dichloroisocyanuratewhich is apparently an active source of chlorine is the same thing.
I ask because it is used in these tablets
http://www.aquatabs.ca/

Many thanks.

No, not the same thing. Not even the same type of reaction. But probably similar effectiveness.

Chlorine Dioxide does not chlorinate – it disinfects by oxidation. Aquatabs disinfect by chlorination.
