I'm debating which liner material to use an a new quilt I have on order. The outer will be pertex quantum and the inner can be either pertex quantum 1.0 oz or taffeta 1.3 oz.
I would like to save weight and use the pertex for the liner, but have no experience with it on the inside, save having a windshirt that I loved. And yes 0.3 oz/sqy is significant to me, so consider that weight difference my main reason for looking to a lighter liner.
Have any of you used it for a quilt liner?
What do you see as the pros/cons of pertex as a liner?
I figure the dwr would wear off soon enough and its breathability would improve and be equal to taffeta.
Both seem equally comfy next to skin.
