Montbell pillows now available

Is there any foam or insulation in the pillow or is it just air?

Air only pillows seem me like trying to sleep on a beach ball. So far the best solution I've found is to use an inflatable pillow with a layer of memory foam on top. It's comfy, but heavy.

I have more pillows than any other piece of gear and I've yet to find one that I'm truly happy with.

It's all air my friend…I find if I underinflate it, it works great.

It is just air, but it is a good, squarish design. This leads to a pillow shape which is not too round. I too have been disappointed with air pillows — if you inflate them fully, they are too round, if you deflate them, then they shift around as you move. I find the montbell ones aren't so bad because they are shaped more like a standard pillow (when fully inflated).

Also, the pillow is cut in a way that the middle three or four inches of the pillow is lower than the sides. The effect is that it cradles your head. I've yet to fall off this pillow. Normally, I wear a fleece hat to bed and this provides additional cushioning.

And, because it has "keepers" on the corners you can attach it to whatever pad you are sleeping on by rubber-cementing (is that a word?)loops onto your pad and passing the keepers through.

Not only have I never "fallen off", but the pillow has never made a midnight escape.

I've tried many lightweight pillows but for a good nights sleep, it's the Montbell for me! The secret is definitely the design features. They put a lot of thought into the pillow. The shape cradles your head and the tab attachments keep it under your head!

It's on the way. I'll let everyone know how it works out. But this is the LAST pillow I'm buying – and I really mean it this time! :)

O.k. I know it's heavier but the Ajungilak Air Pillow is the only inflatable pillow i've tried that doesn't always try to escape from under me! A nice, cozy and warm outer that can be removed for washing. I wouldn't carry it on a long trek but its great for weekenders. You need a good sleep after lugging in that box of wine!

I got my pillow today. This thing is AWESOME!

I have to admit I was hesitant at paying $29 for an inflatable pillow, but I'm glad I listened to you guys.

For others who are searching for a comfortable, lightweight pillow capable of supporting side sleepers, try this one.

The design is such that it cradles your head wonderfully, simulating the 'sink' that you get with a home pillow. It's small, light and works great. It's nothing like the other inflatables I've tried. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to try it.

I also got their small scoop. Awesome as well. This is my first experience with Mont Bell, but I doubt it will be my last.
