Can someone familiar with the Tarptent Rainshadow and Six Moon Designs Lunar Duo answer some questions for me ?

1. Which has more interior room for 2 adults to move around when changing cloths, packing, etc ?

2. Which is breezier feeling when sleeping ?

3. Which is easier for middle-aged inflexible adults to get in and out of in the middle of a rainy night without getting your gear wet (or muddy) or waking your partner ?

4. Which is easier to set up &/or stays tauter during the night when it's raining or windy ?

5. Which is easier to live in for 2 adults when both want to bring their gear inside too.

6. Which takes up less room in the bottom of a backpack ?

7. Is the footprint for either one much bigger than the other ?

Thanks.

The Rainshadow is billed as a three person tent. I have no direct experience with this tent but it seems to be very large. All of the TarpTent shelters are highly rated.

I have direct experience with the Lunar Duo and can tell you that it is as convenient as any old 7 lb. double walled tent with the exception of it not being freestanding. For comfort and light weight, I cannot imagine you would want anything more.

PM me with your email address. I have done an extensive Excel Analysis of these tents (including a few more). You need something that can pull up an Excel file to read it though (duh).
