I know this has been talked about here before, but i couldn't find it. I'm going to buy the big agnes sl 2 and i thought i remembered someone talking about ways to draw out the sides of the tent with the fly to increase the interior volume…
Anyone have experience with this? thanks
You may be confusing the SL1 — whose foot end needs to be staked out to maximize floor space. The SL2 is a different design — staking out the four corners will help stretch and maximize floor space — but just a little bit. Indeed, the tent only needs to be staked out to use the vestibule and (of course) to keep the tent from flying away in the wind.
