Reading over the forums it seems that people really really like the ULA Conduit and choose it over the Golite Jam2, not to mention a few other very nice packs. Looking at the two myself, the only physical differences I have seen are the shoulder strao and hipbelt fabric, the lack of hipbelt pockets on the Jam2, and the dyneema (not mesh) back pocket on the Jam2.
The Jam2 has also received high reviews.
The biggest difference I see is monetary. The Jam2 sells at $100, and often is significantly discounted, while the Conduit sells at $125. Sure, it's just 25 smackers at the least… but when you're going light all the way through your gear, these things add up!
Thus the question: given what seem to be minimally significant physical differences, and an important monetary difference, what is it about the ULA Conduit that has people choosing it over the Jam2?
