rainbow II liner

Yeah, it does give a slightly decadent feel to the tent. We find it good to filter out heat/sun exposure in the tent too. For condensation control, it doesn't work well for us. The condensation tends to splash down on the inner right at the apex of the tent, then rolls off the edges and onto our sleeping bags in the middle of the tent. I am told this is not a big problem if you use the tent solo, but for two people it's not a very pleasant experience. Of course, this is only a problem with heavy condensation, and in those situations you might as well resign yourself to some run-off. However, if Henry (or anyone else) can figure out a way to attach this liner so the run-off does just that (down the fly and out the bottom) then this would be a real winning combo.

. . . just now. It's been raining the past couple of days so I put up the rainbow to check for missed seam sealing spots. I did miss a couple and it was a lot easier to see them with the liner.

The drops that got through simply rolled down the liner to the end of the tent. Doesn't yours do that? I guess it would depend on how the liner was draped and where the leak was as to how it rolled off.

Looks like i have to hit it again with the seam sealer when the rain stops. I had the beaks open yesterday in a light rain, it was awesome to be able to lie there and look out.

Amen. The rain porches have become my new "must have" feature for me on all future tents.

It may be that Henry has found a solution to the dripping liner problem. Our DR II was one of the original models, and he has certainly addressed some of the shortcomings of our model in future models. Maybe this includes the liner???
