Lightweight Three Season Pants

The Adventure pants are pretty lightweight and durable, and dry very quickly. I've been wearing nothing but them for the past year and love them. If you need a bit more tear resistance the Extreme Adventure Pants are bulletproof. Railriders just came out with a new pants line called the Eco-mesh pants, which look interesting. I recently ordered a pair of them, and plan to evaluate them for warmer weather hiking.

The lightest option that I have been looking at are the Montbell Stretch Wind Pants. These weigh about 5 oz and have zip front pockets and ankle zips for $75. Another cheap option are the Marmot Appalacian pants for $55 with ankle zips and thigh pockets but no zips on the front pockets. I have been using the Patagonia Jackalope pants the last few years and love them. The do have a zip thigh and back pockets, however they don't have ankle zips or zip front pockets. I also have some Arc'teryx Access pants which fit a little trimmer with a built in belt and zip front pockets(no ankle zips) at 10 oz. I don't think they are still a current model but the Gamma lt and Palisade are similar. These options all have a trimmer fit with stretch fabric for range of motion and they don't flap around as much. I havn't tried Railriders although I hear the fit is very roomy. For hot weather the Railriders eco-mesh pants are a great design.
