ok. so i have the silnylon mld poncho-tarp and want to add some bug/ground/additional rain protection. I want something fully enclosing that i can move around in a little more than a traditional bivy and not have anything draped on my face. so my options as i see them are:
mld bug bivy – 5.2 oz and $120
– full bug protection
– lightest option
– no additional rain protection except bathtub floor, would that be enough?
mld serenity shelter – 8.2 oz and $145
– front and rear rain protection
– actual "door" to get in and out of
– heavier and more expensive
myog meteor bivy – 6-7oz i think and about $50
– cheap
– provides protection on lower half from splashes of rain
– less room to move around
so does anyone have any pros/cons/experience for any of these? or other options i've missed?
