Has anybody any experience with the Mountan hardwear Quark jacket? It weighs about 10oz has a stowable hood, pit-zips and handwarmer pockets. How does the material compare to Gore-tex and E-vent?

I have the Quark and I am a big fan. Subjectively I think it is more breathable than Gore-Tex, but less than eVent. That being said, I don't think its breathability is an issue. The huge pit zips help for sure.
My favorite part of the jacket is definitely the hood. It cinches onto the head nicely and functions really great. I like to wear a visor or hat under the hood and it fits fantastic (it also fits over my climbing helmet). Its the most functional and ergonomically designed hood I have ever had the pleasure of wearing.
I would strongly recommend it to anyone. If you have any more questions I will answer them as best I can.
