Has anyone hooked two ID SilPonchos together for use as a 2 person tarp? If so, how do they create a seal between the two, and does it leak?

There's a picture in one of the tarp articles showing that done by Ryan and Alan?
Yeah, that's the only reason I knew you could do it. I just don't know if they rigged it up somehow or if there are attachment points specifically made for that.
Merely connecting the two long sides of two 5×8 PTs will leave a gap of about 1.5". Rain will fall in between, but perhaps straight down: there's more coverage with two PTs, but not as much usable coverage as an 8×10 tarp. Maybe good for wind, not so much for rain.
If you overlap the two PTs along the peak of the structure (along the 8' length), you could conceivably prevent the rain from coming down the center, but you'd lose about 18" off the 10' dimension because of the spacing of the tie-outs along the 5' dimension of each PT, and you'd wind up with a series of Frankenstein tie-outs to keep the overlap in place (since it's not just the ends you have to tie down, but the center as well). Might just be easier to use an 8×10 tarp (or other), and eat the weight of the PT. BTW, I have a ID PT, and I only use it for rain gear in rainy conditions, not shelter.
Yeah, I thought about it, maybe more than once, including a few sketches…
