Aloha!
If this has already been discussed…then I am apologizing in advance.

I need another pack like I need new slippers lol

but the deal from STP is very good, and I can give it as a gift to someone later on right? :)(way to ease guilty conscience of buying to much gear)

Is there such a big difference or would this be another UL pack to have?

I am missing my Mariposa Plus I sold…seller's regrets!

I have the Jam 2 and I love it. I think the main difference is in the design of each pack. I prefer the Jam 2 because of the features and strap placement. It has lower side mesh pockets that makes placing Platypus's or whatever in the side a lot more practical and easy to reach without taking off your pack. I also like the new color options and fabric of the Jam2. Its a great pack and I dont recommend anything else.

Thank you Kyle for your info on this.

I had forgotten about the Reader Reviews…and I am busy now reading all the points of views on these two packs.

By the time I am done, lol I just bet Sierra Trading Post is all sold out!!

The color of that new Jam2 is great!

You can always tell if I get my gear on sale…I seem to be stuck with Red and Black…uggh when I am a Blue's kinda gal.

Gail,

The Sierra Trading Post prices on the older model Jam are not that good, in my opinion, and the new model can be had for not that much more and occasionally there are sales even on the Jam2 that closely match the STP prices on the older model. So, considering that you are ‘Blue kinda gal’, why be stuck the ‘ughy’ (sic) red when the new blue is readily available for near the same price?

You know it is "the shop till you drop" syndrome that seems to fall upon us women; and it said SALE!! hee hee so with the discount it was only $50

but you are so right…I rarely use any of my RED packs and tend to give them away, hoping more family and friends will join me in adventures!

Gotta keep one Red pack tho to match my Red Scooter…yep that was on SALE too :(

Actually, the red doesn't look that bad if you put it next to the purple one. :)

Well Gail, since you have the red scooter, and this is just speculation, probably boots to match, switching to blue, could be bank breaker for you??

Yes I think I should order the purple thermals and wear my bright red backpack and my red crocs and might as well get a red hat and a purple feathery boa…hike Red Hat style lol

okay does anyone how can I change my avatar?

Now I see Mariposa's on sale…of course after I already order a new pack! :)

Actually, I think it would be festive and be safe attire. There are so many hunting seasons running all the time that the less I blend in the better! :-)

lol yes you are correct of course.
Now I guess I just needed that push to order a purple backpack!!

Just kidding about the red…meaning not wanting to offend anyone liking the red. It such seems my whole life I have ended up with Jeeps, cars, motorcycles and scooters all in RED!
I have a new way at looking at the color :D
Mature Pink I like that!!

but meanwhile I am going to sell all my extra packs, bags, and clothes in RED and here comes the Purple Flying Fairy :D

Folks:

If you see this in the woods, don't be alarmed. It's just Gail saying "hi"!
