Does anyone know when the Oware Alphamini will be out and approx cost? Look sweet, but I'd like to see just a little angle on the front panel (door) like the gatewood or wild oasis. Seems like that would help with wind deflection better than that super flat front.

Yeah, but that would add at least a couple grams!!!
Jan 28, 2008 at 8:45 am #1418018Er… The guys who designed it (can't rememeber his names) mentions that the alpahmids are designed with a flat front for a reason… mostly so that you can but it up close to a tree for added coverage (and for hanging the top from a branch. You should always turn the sloped side into the wind.
It's on Oware's site someplace… or maybe he's mentioned it on BPL, because it's not on the Alphamid Tarp page.
