Hi I got the print and online membership that expired today, and I'm wondering, I only got 2 BPL magazines last year for a Quarterly publication. Did I not get 50% of the editions?

My print subscription ends in late April. There has been ONE issue since then. Guess who's not re-subscribing to it. If it's for 4 issues, then maybe… but not an annual setup as it now is.
All subscribers to the print magazine are in the same boat with only 1 or 2 issues shipped in the last 6 to 12 months. I renewed at the beginning of the year on good faith that this will be taken care of. As it stands right now, Addie has assured me the problems of release dates for print are being addressed, but only time will tell. I definitely know if it doesn't get better, I will NOT re-subscribe… and may pursue getting my money back…
I've subscribed to the magazine since its inception (Issue 2 – Issue 1 was already out when they started offering subscriptions.) These production delays have plagued the magazine since day one. However, BPL has always extended the subscription expiration to make sure you get 4 copies. My current subscription "expired" nearly a year ago, and I got all the "time to renew" messages you're probably getting. Since the "expiration date" I have received one additional issue, and have one issue left – I expect to get it toward spring.
In reality, it's never been an annual subscription to a quarterly magazine. It's actually a two-year subscription to a semi-annual magazine. I honestly don't believe they're going to rip anyone off, nor do I believe they intend to be misleading by advertising it as a quarterly magazine. I believe that's their intent, but they have not, as yet, been able to figure out how to deliver four issues a year.
I won't be renewing, but it doesn't have anything to do with this. I've simply found my own comfort level in the "light" range (10-15 pound base load), and the website is now mostly devoted to ultralight and subultralight. There's just not very much content here that really applies to me anymore because of my choices.
Hey guys – we are fully aware of the problem of expirations before four issues have been sent. We've been working VERY hard to correct things, and at this time, we're satisfied that we have a workable solution for the future. We'll be extending subscriptions to ensure that everyone gets the four issues for which they paid.
Please let me reassure you that we do not intend to rip anyone off. This scheduling problem has worried and irritated us, and we HATE that it's been such a consistent issue. We want to honor the trust you've put in us, and know we've not done our best in this regard. Thank you for your patience (we know it's not endless), for your grace, and for your trust. We promise it isn't in vain.
Best,
Addie
