So if you check out Fenixlight.com they have a whole new website with a section for headlamps. They do not have any of them up yet, but at long last it looks like they are coming out. My L1D Rebel is absolutly amazing so I cannot wait to see what their headlamps are like…

Good news, anyway. I hope Fenix does it right, though. I'm not really looking for some gnarly flashlight-come-headlamp, US Military-ready, with 20-guage Frankenstein wires-all-over-the-place, 2" wide headband, in a "light" 8 oz. package!
Just a simple swivel-lamp (Cree XR of course) on top of a 2-AAA battery holder, .75" adjustable elastic band–and that's it.
Fenix knows how to make things right.
I also have a P2D Rebel and absolutely love it.
I just hope the headlamp comes with at least 2 good settings, (instead of 1) that are useful.
The prime hiking settings would be one setting under 10, (preferably about 4-6) for basic tasks and the next between 15 and 20 for night hiking.
Fenix seems to go a little overboard on there spectrum between the lows and the highs.
I have a little P1 that would be great in a headband, but I'm all ears to what they are up to for headlamps.

So it looks like Fenix posted that link on their webpage with no intention of actually putting their lights up. Here is the cryptic email I was sent back upon inquiring about their new up and coming headlamps…
"Hello Jonathan
Thank you very much for your attention to our product, and as you presume, there are many feedback for the headlamp, the leaders of Fenix also pay great attention to it, but it’s still need much time to prepare for it, isn’t it? It’s not an easy item, so recently, maybe we can’t expect it to come out. But we will try our best to make the headlamp appear more fast.
Thanks for your trust in Fenix.
Best regards! "

appear to be slow recently, too
I got a tiny Fenic LOD cree flashlight for Christmas and didn't like the flimsy clip on attachment so I got this
http://www.flash-lights.com/product_info.php/info/p11590_Coast–LED-Lenser–LL75331-V2-Clip-Light-White-LED-flashlight.html to use. I actually got an Eddie Bauer version at Target but it looks like the same one. It fits very well and has a tilt mechanism also. I haven't weighed it but it is really light but not flimsy. I love this little light and now with this attachment it is as good as a headlamp.
Hey Bill,
great find. I have never seen this before. In the past I have used a moded Photon clip very similar to the one you have here but the only downside is that you have to tape the light to it. I will have to give this one a shot. Thanks
Ryan I forgot to add you have to buy their LED light to get the clip but It is not a bad little keychain light and it was worth the $12 to get the clip.
