They stopped exporting to distributors in the US around a year ago because the paperwork was more than they wanted to deal with. You can order via the web at

When I was in high school this was a staple for backpacking trips, but these days I like a more balanced and less sweet energy bar.

I started using them after reading Colin Fletcher's first "Complete Walker". After a while I noticed I was having a sugar "crash" an hour after eating the stuff. That's when I stopped carrying candy (except for chocolate).
